TONY G AND DARTS DEMON DEVILFISH

Gibraltar – 13th November 2008 – Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott and Tony G have been added to 
the line-up for PartyPoker Premier League III, which takes place in London from the 
24th – 30th November 2008. This dastardly pair of ‘shy and retiring’ Premier League 
veterans joins Annette Obrestad, Roland de Wolfe, Andy Black, Juha Helppi, JC Tran, 
Nenad Medic and Victoria Coren in the line-up and they are looking forward to the event 
and renewing their personal rivalry. 




“I’m looking forward to the Premier League and am determined to take it down,” said 
Ulliott. “Tony G has as much chance of beating me as winning Strictly Come Dancing.”

“I have been itching to play and finally win the Premier League - it is the event I look 
forward to the most. It goes without saying, but I am really, really looking forward to 
crushing the Devilfish,” said Tony G. 




Ulliott, from Hull in the UK needs little introduction and is easily one of the most 
recognizable faces in poker with over $5 million in official earnings. This week he is 
preparing for the PartyPoker Pro Celebrity Darts Challenge in Wolverhampton, UK on 
Friday 14th November. Paired with Peter ‘One Dart’ Manley, he is in a line-up with ex-
cricketer Phil Tufnell, snooker legend Steve Davis, javelin dart thrower Steve Backley, 
boxing pundit and former world champion Barry McGuigan, rugby union star Mike Tindall, 
ex-footballer Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell and a raft 
of darts’ finest including Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld. 

Coverage tomorrow night (Friday 14th November) is live on ITV4 in the UK from 7pm –

The PartyPoker Premier League has not been kind to the Devilfish in the past two 
seasons, who is still waiting to make his final table debut. The same cannot be said for 
Australia’s Tony G who disappointed in the inaugural event but took season two by storm 
by finishing top of the league and going to the final table as chip leader. Some cruel 
beats meant Tony finished third behind Roland de Wolfe and eventual winner Andy Black 
but one of the game’s most colourful characters and biggest charity donators is more 
determined than ever to go home with first place.

PartyPoker Premier League III sees the buy-in elevated to $75,000 and the added money 
raised to $350,000, making a total prize pool of $1.25 million. The next event wasn’t 
due to take place until 2009 but the demands of international broadcasters for coverage 
of the event has brought it forward! The series developed by Matchroom Sport, features 
12 of the world’s best players playing in a unique league format. All 12 players will 
play six times in the preliminary stages. The leading four players will then progress to 
the final table with the next four battling it out in heads-up matches for the final two 
seats.
